Welcome:
You are invited to the 19th CT Middle School State XC Championships starting at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 5, 2011. The meet is open to all Connecticut middle school athletes competing with their middle school team.
Facility:
The meet will be held at the Wickham Park course in Manchester CT. The site of the State High School Cross Country Championships.
Entry Procedures and Limits:
All meet registration is managed by EZ Meet Services in association with NSSF HeadCount system. There are no late entries or day of meet entries.
SPECIAL NOTE:
While in HeadCount, after entering team roster, coaches will Continue to the Head Count Event Entry form to register names of ALL their athletes according to the school's geographical location in relation to the CT River.
Girls EAST of CT River or
Boys EAST of CT River or
Girls WEST of CT River or
Boys WEST of CT River
Your school is either East or West of the CT river and your athlete is either a Boy or a Girl.
You can decide on race day who runs in the A or B races.
Make sure to enter ALL your athletes into an event since every athlete receives a bib number.

HeadCount Online Event Entry for Boys and Girls available at 10/3/2011.
The online Intent to Enter deadline is 7:00 pm Eastern, Friday, October 28, 2011.
Deadline for HeadCount event entry is 7:00 pm Eastern, Friday October 28, 2011.
There are no late entries or day of meet entries.
Entry Fees - Checks:
The entry fee is $5.00 per athlete with a cap of $150.00 per school.

Meet Rules:
Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:
- Please have your athletes to the start line at least 10 minutes before the start of your race.
- Please assign the correct race number to the correct athlete. Every athlete competing must have a race number. Substitutions may be made up to 10:00am.
- You do not have to designate your top seven runners.
- Any seven runners from your start list may compete in the A race.
- You are not required to enter the A race.
- Use your discretion when entering your runners.
Awards:
The top 50 finishers in each event will receive medals.
The top 5 teams in the A races will receive trophies.
Ribbons are awarded to all other finishers.
Doctor/Trainer:
Two athletic trainers will be on site during the meet. Please note- All non-life threatening injuries should be treated by the athletic trainers at the finish line. EMTs are available for life threatening injuries only. Once the EMTs get involved, the parent/guardian/coach designee must accompany the athlete to the hospital for release. All asthmatics must carry their inhaler with them during the race. A simple waist pack or wrist band is appropriate.

Admission to Wickham Park is $5.00 per car. Please share with parents.
Food, drinks, candy will be available. Long sleeve t-shirts will be available for $20.00. Custom engraving of medals will also be available for a small fee.
