You are invited to the 61st Greater Hartford Cross Country Invite starting at 11:00am on Saturday, October 2, 2010. The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their high school team. Middle school athletes competing for their teams are also allowed to compete in the featured Middle School Race.
Facility:
The meet will be held at the Stanley Quarter Park course in New Britain, CT.
Entry Procedures and Limits:
All meet registration is administered by MySportsResults.com EZ Meet Services in association with Head Count Event entry.
- Enter all your athletes into your HeadCount Roster. Every athlete will be issued race day bib number so that we can accurately provide finish place and times for each athlete in every race.
While in HeadCount:
- Enter all your Varsity, JV and Freshman athletes into either the Boys HS Race or Girls HS Race. On race day, run only 7 VARSITY ATHLETES for the Boys and Girls Varsity Championship or Open Races. All other non-varsity high school athletes can run in the JV or Freshman races. There is no need to decide who runs in which race until race day since everyone receives a unique number. You may run an unlimited number of athletes in the non-varsity races.
- The Championship Race is limited to the fastest 10-15 boys and girls teams determined by a 5-person team seed time for 5km (ex: 1:25.00 or [17:00/runner]) provided by the coach while completing the Intent to Enter form. All other teams will be assigned to the Varsity Open Race.
- Middle school coaches should use the Online Intent to Enter form to register their team as well to provide contact information. Coaches will also use the Head Count event entry forms to register teams and names of athletes since athletes will be provided race day bib numbers. Select either the Middle School Boys or Middle School Girls Race in Head Count.

The online Intent to Enter deadline is 9:00pm Eastern, Friday, Sep. 24, 2010.
Deadline for team-athlete event entry is 6:00pm Eastern, Sunday, Sep. 26, 2010.
There are no late entries or day of meet entries.
Submit Certificate of Liability Insurance:
Coaches are reminded to instruct their athletic directors that the standard Certificate of Liability Insurance must be submitted by no later than Tuesday, September, 28th 2010 in accordance with these instructions:
Each certificate of liability insurance should be in the amount of at least $1,000, 000. and should name the following two entities:
"City of New Britain / Consolidated School District, 27 West Main Street, New Britain, CT 06051" and
"Ronald Knapp, 56 Webster Hill Blvd, West Hartford CT 06107"
as additionally insured in the bottom left-hand box of the certificate.

Entry Fees - Checks: - The High School Team entry fee is $95.00 for each team entered or $190.00 for each school consisting of a boys and girls team. Entry fee provides for team entry into all Varsity, JV and Freshman races.
- The Middle School Team entry fee is $30.00 for each team entered or $60.00 for each school consisting of a boys and girls team.
- You are charged for each team entry made online as stated in your Head Count final report.
- All Entry Fee Balances MUST be reconciled before the start of the meet in order for a team to compete.
- Standard Payment Types accepted include cash, personal and school checks prior to the start of the meet.
- Special Payment Type: Coaches can submit personal checks for the entire amount along with a school purchase order for the same amount. Once the school PO check is received by meet management, the coach will be reimbursed by meet management for the same amount.

Meet Rules:
Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:
- To insure a fair and quality meet, NHFS and CIAC rules will govern all events.
- The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their high school team and middle school athletes in 6th, 7th, 8th grades competing for their middle school team.
Awards:
- Medals to the first 20 runners in Championship and Open Races.
- Silver Revere bowls to the winning and second place teams in Championship and Open Races.
- Watch to each individual winner in Championship and Open Races.
- Medals to the first 20 runners in each JV race.
- Medals to the first 20 runners in each Freshman race.
- Medals to the first 20 runners in Middle School race.
Athletic Trainer: Select Therapy will be available for the convenience of all the athletes entered in the meet.
