11th Annual Viking Invitational

Welcome:

You are invited to the 11th Viking Invitational Track & Field Meet on Monday, May 23, 2011. The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their high school team who have not qualified to compete at your league championship meet.

Facility:

• The meet will be held at the EAST LYME HIGH SCHOOL in EAST LYME, CT.
• The track is 6 lanes, the all weather surface requires ¼ inch spikes maximum, the javelin is off the track surface while shot and discus circles are concrete.

Entry Procedures and Limits:

• All meet registration is administered by EZ Meet Services in conjunction with Head Count Event registration. There are no late entries or day of meet entries.
• Athletes can compete in any two (2) events. No boy/girl may be entered in more than two (2) events, including relays. Entry as an alternate counts as one of the athlete's two (2) events.
• Unlimited entries are allowed per school in an event.
• Schools may enter more than one relay team in an event (B relays are allowed).

Registration:

• Deadline for entry is 7:00pm Eastern, Wednesday, May 18, 2011.
• There are no late entries or day of meet entries.

Entry Fees - Checks:

• The entry fee is $3.00 for each individual event entered and $10.00 for each relay up to a maximum of $150 for a single gender and $250 for coed entries.
• (Example athlete is entered in the 55m and 300m = 2 x $ 3.00 =$6.00)
• The Head Count Fee function is used by the meet this year to tally total event fees. Coaches are responsible for entry fee payment as stated on their final Head Count entry report up to a maximum of $150 for a single gender and $250 for coed entries.

Meet Rules:

Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:

• To insure a fair and quality meet, CIAC rules will govern all events.
• There will be three trials in the SP, DT, JT, LJ, and TJ with no finals.
• There will not be finals in the 100 or high hurdles.

Other Rules - Implement Check: All implements must be checked in by an inspector prior to use in the meet. Violators will be disqualified for using implements that have not passed meet inspection.
