 Meet Information

Welcome:

Coaches and their teams are invited to the Panther Invitational Track & Field Meet scheduled for Friday, May 4, 2012 with a start time of 3:30PM for Field Events and 4:00PM for Track Events. The meet is open to coaches and their high school age athletes competing for their high school teams.

Facility:

The meet will be held at the Plainfield High School in Central Village, CT.

The track is 6 lanes, the all weather surface requires 1/4 inch spikes maximum, the javelin is thrown off grass, while shot put and discus circles are concrete.

Fully automatic timing and results provided by NorthEast Sports Timing Systems.  

Entry Procedures and Limits:

  • All meet registration is administered by EZ Meet Services in association with NSSF HeadCount event registration services. There are no late entries or day of meet entries.
  • Athletes can compete in any 3 events. No boy/girl may be entered in more than 3 events, including relays. Entry as an alternate counts as one of the athlete's 3 events.
  • The Aaron Cooper Long and Triple Jump Events will be limited to the top 12 entrants.
  • 3 entries are allowed per school in an event. Exception is for Freshman events where there are unlimited number of entries per school for each event.
  • Schools may enter more than 1 relay team(s) in an event.

Registration:

Deadline for Head Count Event entry is 9pm Eastern,Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

There are no late entries or day of meet entries.

Entry Fees - Checks:

The entry fee is $150 for each individual team (boys or girls) entered and $250 for both gender teams.

Meet Rules:

Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:

To insure a fair and quality meet, CIAC rules will govern all events.

Implement Check:

All implements must be checked in by an inspector prior to use in the meet. Violators will be disqualified for using implements that have not passed meet inspection.

Awards:

The top 3 finishers in each event will receive Awards.
