Outdoor Track and Field Meet at Enrico Fermi High School, Enfield CT

 Meet Information

Welcome:

Coaches and their teams are invited to participate in the 4th Fermi Coed Relays at 10:00am on Saturday, April 28th, 2012. The meet is open to coaches and their high school athletes competing for their high school team.

Facility:

The meet will be held at the Fermi High School track in Enfield, CT. The urethane track is fairly new and has six lanes (8 lane straight). The jumping surfaces are also urethane. There are 2 long jump pits, 1 pole vault pit and room for 2 high jump pits if numbers justify them. There is 1 cement shot put circle and 2 javelin areas available, both with grass throwing surfaces.

Entry Procedures and Limits:

  • All meet registration is administered by EZ Meet Services in conjunction with Head Count Event registration. There are no late entries or day of meet entries.
  • Since this is a coed meet, coaches must enter boys and girls together in the same HeadCount account under one school entry.
  • Athletes can compete in any 2 events. No boy/girl may be entered in more than 2 events. Entry as an alternate counts as one of the athlete's 2 events.
  • Maximum of 2 entries per school per event.
  • For the Field Event Relays and 300m Hurdle Relay, although you are entering individuals and their performance marks, they will be scored as a coed team of four persons. If entering 2 teams (8 persons) then you need to designate in the Comments field either 'A' or 'B' team.

Registration:

  • Head Count Online Event Entry for Boys and Girls available at 03/26/2012.
  • Deadline for Intent to Enter is Sunday, April 15, 2012.
  • Deadline for entry is 7:00pm Eastern, Monday, April 23, 2012.
  • There are no late entries or day of meet entries.

  • Special Entry - 4 x 100m (Throwers) (GGBB) (Does not count towards an athlete's 2-event maximum. Register your relay team on day of meet.

Entry Fees - Checks:

The entry fee is $150.00 per school or $10.00 for each relay.

Meet Rules:

Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:

  • To insure a fair and quality meet, CIAC rules will govern all events.
  • The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their high school team.
  • All relay teams will consist of 2 boys and 2 girls.
  • The order of finish for all field events and the 4 x 300 hurdles will be determined by adding the results of the 4 members of each relay team.
  • To compete in the Throwers 4 x 100 relay, athletes must be entered in a throwing event (Does not count toward the 2 event limit/athlete)

Awards:

The top 6 finishers in each event will receive awards (1st place medals, 2nd thru 6th place ribbons).

Doctor/Trainer:

  • An Athletic Trainer is on site during meet.
