 Meet Information

Welcome:

You are invited to the ESDAA Outdoor Track and Field Meet starting at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 16, 2009. The meet is open to all ESDAA Member School athletes.

Facility:

The meet will be held at the Newington High School Track and Field facility in Newington CT.

Entry Procedures and Limits:

  • All meet registration is administered by MySportsResults.com Meet Management Services.
  • There are no late entries or day of meet entries.
  • Athletes can compete in any 4 events. No boy/girl may be entered in more than 4 events, including relays. Entry as an alternate counts as one of the athlete's 4 events.
  • Maximum of 1 entry per team for the 100m, 200m, 400m, and hurdle events.
  • Maximum of 2 entries per team for all other events.
  • Maximum of 1 team per relay event.

Registration:

  • Head Count Online Event Entry for Boys and Girls available at 04/27/2009.
  • Deadline for entry is 7:00pm Eastern, Tuesday, May 12, 2009.
  • There are no late entries or day of meet entries.

Entry Fees - Checks: The entry fee is prepaid to the ESDAA Treasurer for each school team entered.

Meet Rules:

Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:

  • To insure a fair and quality meet, National Federation Track & Field rules will govern all events.
  • The meet is open to all ESDAA Member School athletes representing their schools.
  • Scoring: Top six places, points awarded 10 – 8 – 6 – 4 – 2 - 1

Other Rules - Implement Check:

All implements must be checked in by an inspector prior to use in the meet. Violators will be disqualified for using implements that have not passed meet inspection.

Awards:

  • The top 3 finishers in each event will receive Medals.
  • Certificates will be mailed to the 4th , 5th, and 6th place finishers.
  • Team trophies will be awarded to top 3 teams.

Doctor/Trainer:

  • Select Medical Corp. will provide 2 Athletic Trainers on site during the competition. They will also provide their Mobile Medical Vehicle.
