Welcome:
Coaches and athletes of the CCC-West Division are invited to the CCC West Boys-Girls Championships starting at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. The meet is open for registration to coaches of all high school age athletes competing with their CCC WEST high school team including Conard, Farmington, Hall, New Britain, Newington, Northwest Catholic, Southington and Simsbury.
Facility:
- The Irv Black Track at Veterans' Stadium in Willowbrook Park in New Britain CT is an 8-lane, 400m Mondo track, including the runways for the long jump, triple jump and pole vault. It is recommended that 1/4-inch spikes be used. Spikes in excess of 1/4-inch will not be allowed on the running track and/or runways. The shot put and discus competition areas are depressed concrete circles.
- Fully automatic timing provided by NorthEast Sports Timing
Entry Procedures and Limits:
- All meet registration is administered by EZ Meet Services in conjunction with NSSF HeadCount services. There are no late entries or day of meet entries.
- Athletes may compete in any three (3) events. No boy/girl may be entered in more than three (3) events, including relays. Entry as an alternate on a relay team counts as one of the athlete's three (3) events.
- Only one (1) relay team per event per school (no “B” teams).
- Each team shall be entitled to enter two (2) athletes per event (automatic entrees). If a team enters more than 2 athletes in a single event, ALL entered athletes must meet Class S standards noted on the Event Standards page.
The coach is responsible for ensuring that the 3 or more athletes meet the Class S Standards during HeadCount event entry. The Meet Director has final control of the events and entries. - Trials and finals shall be conducted for both the 100M Dash and the 100/110M high hurdles races.
- All hand-timed entry marks shall first be rounded up to the slower one-tenth of a second and then a conversion factor of 0.24 must be added prior to entering the athlete into the meet.
Registration:
- HeadCount Event Entry Deadline is 8:00pm Eastern, Friday, May, 18, 2012.
- There are no late entries or day of meet entries.

The entry fee is $250.00 per school (includes boys and girls teams).

Meet Rules:
Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:
- To insure a fair and quality meet, CIAC rules will govern all events.
- The jewelry/Uniform rules are in effect and enforced.
- The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their CCC West high school team.
- All track races are finals in slow to fast heat order with exception of trials and finals shall be conducted for both the 100M Dash and the 100/110M high hurdles races.
- 4 throws/jumps per athlete. No Finals.
- All heats and flights count towards places-scoring.
- Team Scoring will be as follows: - 10-8-6-4-2-1 (6 places)
Doctor/Trainer:
- An Athletic Trainer is on site during meet.
Implement Check:
- All implements must be checked in by an inspector prior to use in the meet. Violators will be disqualified for using implements that have not passed meet inspection.
