CCC EAST Coed Track and Field Meet

Welcome:

You are invited to the CCC East Boys-Girls Championships starting at 4:00pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2009. The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their CCC EAST high school team.

Facility:

• The meet will be held at the Enrico Fermi High School in Enfield CT. 
• The urethane track is one year old, has six lanes (8 lane straight). The jumping surfaces are also urethane. There are 2 long jump pits, 1 pole vault pit and room for 2 high jump pits if numbers justify them. There is 1 cement shot put circle and 2 javelin areas available, both with grass throwing surfaces.
• Please note the following restrictions for the synthetic turf field:
  No track spikes on the field.
  Only water is to be brought into the track/field area.

Entry Procedures and Limits:

• All meet registration is administered by MySportsResults.com Meet Management Services. There are no late entries or day of meet entries.
• Athletes can compete in any three (3) events. No boy/girl may be entered in more than three (3) events, including relays. Entry as an alternate counts as one of the athlete's three (3) events.
• Maximum of three (3) entries per school per event. 
  Exception: Coaches are allowed to enter more than 3-athletes per event providing that they meet the Class M state standards. Please email the Meet Director at doconnell@enfieldschools.org with the additional exception entries so that they are received prior to the 8-pm May 25, 2009 entry deadline with the School, Event, athlete first-last name and qualifying mark.
• Only one (1) relay per event per school.

Meet Rules:

Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:

• To insure a fair and quality meet, CIAC rules will govern all events.
• The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their CCC East high school team.
• Team Scoring will be as follows: Individual Events – 10-8-6-4-2-1 (6 places)
• Field event athletes will have 4 jumps/throws and no finals. Each athlete will have their first attempt measured in the throws and horizontal jumps. A minimum distance will need to be met for subsequent throws/jumps to be measured. The distances will set on the day of the meet.
• Starting heights: Pole Vault – girls (6’0”), boys (8’0”)
  High Jump – girls (4’0”), boys (5’0”)
• There will be heats (seeded) and finals in the 100 and the 110/100m Hurdles.
• The first 2 athletes in each individual event will be named to the All-CCC East teams. The winning relays also qualify. Coaches should be ready to nominate other athletes from their team to fill out the 42 spots.

Doctor/Trainer:

• An Athletic Trainer is on site during meet.

Implement Check:

• All implements must be checked in by an inspector prior to use in the meet. Violators will be disqualified for using implements that have not passed meet inspection.
