Welcome:
You are invited to the 6th Annual Bloomfield Invitational on Saturday, April 11, 2009 starting at 10:00am. The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their high school team.
Facility:
The meet will be held at Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, CT. The 400m track is urethane, including the runways for the long jump, triple jump and pole vault. It is recommended that 1/8-inch spikes be used. Spikes in excess of 1/8-inch will not be allowed on the track and/or runways. The shot put and discus competition areas are depressed concrete circles.
Entry Procedures and Limits:
· Athletes may compete in 3 events; if an athlete is listed on a relay, the relay counts as 1 of the athlete's 3 events. · Each school is allowed only 3 athletes per event. · Relay Events: Each school may enter "A" and "B" relay teams in relay events. Please seed honestly! Registration:
· Head Count Online Event Entry for Boys and Girls available on 03/23/2009. All meet registration is administered by MySportsResults.com Meet Management Services. · Please try to complete the ONLINE Intent to Enter form by 6:00pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 so that the meet director has an indication of the number of teams attending. · Deadline for Head Count athlete event entry is 8:00pm Eastern, Tuesday, April 7, 2009 · There are no late entries or day of meet entries. · Coaches will be asked to help officiate events – Email your name, school, contact phone number and choice of Event to officiate to Meet Director Garfield White at: Garfield_39@comcast.net as soon as possible. · Scratches of registered athletes will begin at 8:30 AM and will close at 9:30 AM on morning of the meet. · A coaches’ information packet will be available to you when you arrive. · All running events will be Women followed by Men. · All Running Events are finals. · To insure a fair and quality meet, CIAC rules will govern all events. Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:
· Times will determine place, regardless of heat. · Uniforms must be worn during competition & meet relay requirements. · Absolutely no Frisbees, footballs, soccer balls, etc. · Sportsmanship at all times to all people. · No radios or boom boxes – please have your athletes wear headphones. Awards:
