You are invited to the Jack Long Last Ditch Indoor Track and Field Invite starting at 9:00am and ending at 1:00pm on Saturday, Feb.6, 2010. The meet is open to varsity caliber high school age athletes competing with their invited high school team.
Facility:
The meet will be held at the Bacon Fieldhouse at Wesleyan University in Middletown CT.

Entry Limits:
Each school is allowed a maximum of three athletes per event.
Athletes are allowed to enter a maximum of 2 events.
Only 1 Relay team per school allowed for the Sprint Medley Relay.
Because of the restricted time of the meet, HeadCount entry fields will be limited to about 20-60 athletes per event on a first enter first accepted basis. See Order of Events page for specific event entry limits.
Athletes entered in the meet should be varsity caliber athletes are attempting to qualify for a state meet or who have either qualified for the state meets and are looking to better their performances. This is not a developmental meet.

There are no late entries or day of meet entries.
Insurance: Coaches must submit by FAX a Certificate of Insurance for 2-Million dollars, specifying the meet specifics (Jack Long Last Ditch Invite, Bacon Fieldhouse-Freeman Athletic Center-Wesleyan University, February 6, 2010 and 8:30am to 1:00pm) by February 3, 2010. (FAX: (860) 537-5410)
Entry Fees - Checks:
Entry fee is $10.00 per athlete for teams with 5 or less total athletes per team and then $8 per athlete for teams after first 5 athletes with a max of $200.00 per boys and girls program.
All checks must be made out to “Bacon Academy” and sent to Bacon Academy by February 3, 2010. (Send to Steve Browning c/o Bacon Academy, 611 Norwich Avenue, Colchester, CT 06415.)

Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:
To insure a fair and quality meet, NHFS and CIAC rules will govern all events.
Field Events Measurements:
Pole Vault: Starting height of 10-0 for boys, 7-6 for girls
High Jump: Starting height of 5-6 for boys, 4-6 for girls
Long Jump: Three jump maximum. First legal jump will be measured for all athletes. Second and third jumps must be 14-0 (Girls) or 18-0 (Boys) to be measured.
Shot Put: Three throw maximum. First legal throw will be measured. Second and third throws must be a minimum of 37-0 (boys) or 27-0 (girls) to be measured.
Awards:
Medals awarded to the top 3 places in individual events.
Doctor/Trainer:
Ice will be supplied but no trainer will be available.
